DISTED College, through its Scholarship and Bursary Award , proudly champions the educational dreams of countless deserving students who may otherwise struggle to access a high-quality higher education. Each year, DISTED College extends its support to a diverse group of recipients, including top academic achievers, financially disadvantaged individuals, and those with physical challenges, as well as individuals with exceptional talent in music and sports. It is the mission of the College to empower and inspire students to strive for academic excellence, ultimately fostering graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, and commendable qualities needed to make meaningful contributions to both industry and community.
  • The most prestigious scholarship offered at DISTED College. The scholarship is made available through the I.K Meek Scholarship and DISTED Scholarship fund.
  • Students who scored 9(A+/A/A-) and 10(A+/A/A-) in their SPM or IGCSE examinations are eligible to apply for up to a 100% scholarship under the DISTED Excellence Scholarship upon registration.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, teamwork capabilities, outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities, exceptional interpersonal skills, and community service.
  • DISTED has established the Merit Award for enrolling student based on their IGCSE & SPM results, offering up to *80%  rebate on tuition fees.
  • All new students enrolling into year 2024 programmes will receive Merit Award according to the eligibility criteria and quantum (please refer to counselor).
  • Student is allowed to apply for DISTED Excellence Scholarship, however, if the application of DISTED Excellence Scholarship is successful, the award with the highest quantum will automatically apply.

  1. Scholarships / bursaries are open to all nationalities who have sat for the relevant examinations and must be new students of the programme of study.
  2. Applicants are required to register as a DISTED student and pay both the application fee and registration fee to be eligible to submit scholarship application.
  3. To be eligible for a DISTED College scholarships / bursaries, international students must be currently resident in Malaysia, completed their high school study in Malaysia, and have enrolled for a programme of study directly with the College. International students who apply through a recruitment agent will be ineligible for scholarship.
  4. The application closing date is seven (7) calendar days from the programme commencement date. Late applications will not be accepted.
  5. Only results of two (2) years or less will be recognized for any scholarship application to DISTED College.
  6. All scholarships / bursaries are awarded on a first come, first served basis (where applicable), and are subject to the availability of the quota set in that particular scholarship category.
  7. The scholarships / bursaries are given based on examination results and / or need basis.
  8. The scholarships / bursaries awarded exclude other fees and charges such as application fee, registration fee, resource fee, assessment fee and moderation fee to partner university (where applicable), all of which must be borne by the recipient.
  9. Disbursement of scholarship / bursary will be allocated on a semester by semester basis.
  10. Recipients are not allowed to hold two (2) scholarships or bursaries concurrently. In the event a student is qualified for more than one award, the higher award will be given.
  11. The scholarships / bursaries can only be utilized to defray the fees for the programme of study conducted at DISTED college and are not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
  12. The scholarships / bursaries will take effect only after agreeing to the terms and conditions contained within the Award Acceptance Letter. Candidates must confirm their acceptance of the scholarship within seven (7) calendar days, failing which, it will be automatically withdrawn.
  13. Scholarship / bursary is only applicable for the program that the student is enrolled in at the point when the scholarship acceptance letter is signed. It will be terminated if the student changes his / her program of study.
  14. Recipients must maintain continuous, full-time enrollment for the entire duration of their programme. Reduction of credit hours to less than full-time status may result in the termination of the scholarship.
  15. All scholarships / bursaries are only tenable for the period of study at DISTED College. It will be terminated upon completion of the minimum prescribed study period of the programme enrolled in and will not extend to any additional period including resit(s) or semester abroad programme.
  16. Changes in enrollment status after the commencement of the programme may affect the status of the Award. Any changes must be made in consultation with Head of School, notify the Registrar. Approval of the scholarship after the enrollment status changed is subject decision of the Scholarship & Awards Committee after reviewing the supporting documents submitted
  17. Recipients who fail to fulfill the Award General Terms and Conditions may be placed on termination of the scholarship. In such a case, the recipient is required to compensate the College the amount of the scholarship that has been disbursed and to pay all outstanding fees due to the College. Any Financial penalties incurred as a result of the actions or inactions of the recipient will be the sole responsibility of the recipient.
  18. Any premature withdrawal from the programme of study by the recipient will result in the immediate cessation of this award. In such a case, the recipient is required to compensate the College the amount of the scholarship that has been disbursed and to pay all outstanding fees due to the College within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of withdrawal. Any Financial penalties incurred as a result of the actions or inactions of the recipient will be the sole responsibility of the recipient.
  19. Recipients’ parents or guardians are required to act as a guarantor in respect of the repayment of scholarship to the College and / or payment of any outstanding course fees due to the College in the event that the recipient withdraw prematurely from the programme.
  20. Recipients are required to maintain a minimum CGPA set by the Scholarship & Awards Committee. Failure to meet such academic requirement every semester may result in the scholarship / bursary being terminated.
  21. All scholarship recipients who receive a scholarship / bursary are required to serve in various administrative roles, including acting as an Ambassador of DISTED College at various events in order to continue their award in subsequent semester(s).
  22. In the event of a dispute on the eligibility for the scholarship, the decision made by the DISTED Scholarship & Awards Committee is final.
  23. DISTED College reserves the right to alter, add or delete any of the terms and conditions and scholarship scheme at any point of time as and when deems necessary.
