DISTED places special focus on personal counselling and academic advice to respond to the personal, emotional or educational needs of students. The counselling service is available from the moment the students enrol until they complete their studies at DISTED or transfer to a university locally or overseas.
The Counselling Unit headed by a qualified and registered counsellor extends general counselling to students on social, emotional and relationship matters.
Faculty staff who are appointed as academic mentors provide guidance to students on study-related issues.
The college may arrange for representatives from link universities or education consultants to provide pre-departure seminars to transfer students before the students leave for the campuses overseas.
The online helpline HELP4U support DISTED in providing counselling services to students.
