DISTED College student Khow ji Yin was presented with Top in Malaysia Award for securing the highest marks in Malaysia in the Cambridge International Examination at AS Level for English Language in June 2018.
Khow was thrilled and delighted when the college called him up and delivered the news.
“I’m incredibly thankful to DISTED College for providing a great environment that help in my studies,” Khow said. “I’m also grateful to my parents for always having my back and the lecturers, mentors and classroom for supporting me through my studies,” he continued.
Being on the top is not easy, Khow had to compete with thousands of other student who also sat for the same exam.
“The college encourages feedback on different views and provides students chances for constructing valid and persuasive argument which has contributed to my recent achievement,” Khow shared when asked about how he contributed to his outstanding achievement.
“I will pursue my further studies in the fields relating to software engineering, preferably the A.I department,” when asked about his next step after pre-u studies.
Winning students who achieved exceptional results in the Cambridge examinations would be recognised at the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards Ceremony held at Vintage Ballroom, Holiday Villa Hotel Subang Jaya
Khow and her parents attended the ceremony to receive the recognition.
