The Library is located on the highest floor of the main academic building at the DISTED Yap Chor Ee Heritage Campus.
The Library is part of the Tun Dr. Lim Chong Eu Library, a collaboration between DISTED Library and Wawasan Open University (WOU) Library.
The main aim is to provide a wide range of resources to fully support the learning and teaching at both institutions. All students of DISTED have access to thousands of online full text e-journals and e-books in these areas is provided via DISTED MyDigitalLibrary made available through this cooperation. User ID and passwords to access these resources are available from the Main Service Counter at the DISTED Library.
The air-conditioned Library is also well-stocked with physical resources including an up -to-date and comprehensive range of business, accountancy, psychology, information technology, multimedia, the sciences and language learning reference resources.

Library membership is personal and may not be transferred or used by another person. The following are eligible for library membership:
Users have to produce their identification during borrowing transaction. The borrowing privileges according to the category of users/collections and are as follows:

In addition, academic staff are allowed to borrow items from the Resource Collection for 90 days.
All books are subject to recall before the date due when urgently required by the Library.
Review notices that books are due as well as reminders for overdue books are routinely sent to users via email. Renewals can be made online via DISCAT from the Library iPortal using the My Account feature, or at the Main Service Counter before or on the due date.
Those who do not return borrowed items after the date due will be blacklisted and prohibited from further borrowing.
Charges
Members who fail to return borrowed items on time will be required to pay the charges as below:

Any items lost or damaged while out on loan will have to be paid for. Book losses must be replaced by the borrower together with a processing fee of RM50.00 per book or by the Library at double the current cost.
For books that are out of print, the charges will be double the price of the book at the time it was purchased together with a processing fee of RM100.00 to source for a replacement.
Reservation of books on loan can be made via the web portal.
Users who fail to comply with Library regulations will be subject to revocation of library privileges, caution or warning notice, suspension or expulsion from the college.
The Library has an integrated collection of books, journals, magazines, newspapers, multimedia and electronic resources to serve the academic programmes of the college.

The Library catalogue has been merged with the Wawasan Open University (WOU) catalogue.
The author, title, year of publication, information about the subject content, location and loan conditions of every item in the library can be accessed via this web-based online catalogue. If users are unable to locate on the shelf items listed in DISCAT, please check with the staff on duty at the main service counter.
Three local papers are available for reading. These newspapers are located at the lobby area.
Card based/cashless multi function printer is available in the Library. User guides and policies are available via DISTED e-learn.
Internet Stations
The library provides 8 computers for purposes directly connected with the academic programmes of the college as well as for accessing the Internet for education and research purposes.

Free wireless (Wi-Fi) access is provided at all the Library public areas and at all times when the Library is open.
The Library has created two study zones which are clearly marked with signs. The Quiet Study Zone is an area where silence must be observed so as not to interfere with individual quiet study.
The Group Study Zone is an area where it is acceptable to make a certain amount of noise while engaged in discussions and group study work. It is the responsibility of all users to select the area that best fits their study style so as not to disturb or be disturbed by others.
The Discussion Room is available for group use.

Users can provide their comments, suggestions and complaints by filling up the Feedback Form available at the Feedback Box. Feedback forms together with our responses will be put on display on the notice board for one(1) month before they are transferred to the Feedback Forms From The Past File which is placed on the table in front of the Main Service Counter.
