Programme Overview

This program is designed to equip students to be creative, strategic, critical thinkers, and adaptable to diversity, enabling them to engage in a globalized society. Students will be exposed to a comprehensive curriculum covering basic to advanced understanding of media and communication disciplines. The program aims to produce well-rounded graduates who are knowledgeable, talented, and skilled in the production and distribution of media content, making them integral to the workplace. Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to navigate current and rapidly changing global trends in the media and ethically navigate complex communication landscapes.

Year 1 (10 Subjects)
General Studies

*Local students to take both Appreciation of Ethics and Civilizations and Philosophy and Current Issues
**for Local students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu

***for students that have not taken Integrity and Anti-Corruption Course at Diploma level

Year 2 (10 subjects)
Year 3 (6 subjects)
  • STPM 2 Grade C (GPA 2.00) or its equivalent and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent.
  • A-Level 2 Ds
  • Disted Foundation in Arts/Foundation in Science (pass all subjects)
  • Diploma in Media and Communication or its equivalent, Diploma or its equivalent, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent
  • Senior Middle 3 (UEC) 5 B’s (including a credit in English)
  • International Baccalaureate Min of 24 points in; or
  • Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.00 and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education.
    *If a student is unable to meet this requirement (without a B for English in SPM/UEC), he/she is accepted with TOEFL (score of 500)/IELTS (score of 5.0) qualifications
  • For those who lack a pass in English, they will need to go through English bridging before enrollment

Introduction to Information Technology & Information System

This course provides an introduction to information technology and Information systems. The student will be introduced to computer software, hardware, and networking technologies, Information systems, databases as well as information security and privacy. The subject also teaches students to maximize their use of mobile devices, make the most of online tools for collaboration and communication, and fully utilize today’s Internet capabilities. It highlights today’s most current technology trends and developments.
