On Saturday, October 26, the annual Prom themed Rockin’ 21st organised by DISTED Students Representative Council was held at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. From 7pm-10pm, juniors, seniors and invited guests danced the night away in what was described as a night to remember. Despite the wet weather, students and guests enjoyed the night. It was a time of “special moments” with their classmates and friends.

The venue was decorated with round tables covered with cream tablecloth and gold chair cover. Big and sparkling disco ball laid atop each table. There were photo booth containing endless props to pose.

The night was enriched with energetic events such as, the opening performance by Dancetitude Studio, Beatbox performance by professional beatboxer, Dash, harmonica performance by artist Harron in collaboration with beatboxer Dash.

As per any prom tradition, the event saw the crowning of Prom King & Queen. Mr Timothy Soe Yi Ren were selected as the Prom King and Mr Cassandra Xin Benson was voted to be the Prom Queen.

The highlights of the night also saw the“King” Timothy Soe carried out a singing performance  which was a classic Chinese love song 情非得已    (Can’t Help falling in love with you) while the “Queen” Ms Cassandra did a solo performance singing the romantic love song of Can’t Help Falling in Love.

Mr Kelvin Lim, the advisor of DISTED Students Representative Council summed up the evening and said,” It was a success because I saw many smiles and heard laughter throughout the night,”  “Everyone had a great night,” he concluded.
