Some 30 children gathered for a fun and interactive activities on Sunday celebrated the 10th year anniversary of Teddy Project. Each child was given away a teddy bear to love and take home.
Under the guidance of Datin Helen Lim, 17 DISTED Pre-U students have successfully organised the annual Teddy project on 15 September at the Batu Lanchang Government low-cost flats.
“Teddy Project is my brainchild that I introduced to DISTED College as an outreach programme for DISTED’s Community Outreach Programme,” Datin Helen said.
The objective of the project is to bring happiness to needy children and to develop DISTED Pre-U students how to organise events and to be empathetic to their fellow Malaysians of every race, Datin Helen continued.
“This year the project also celebrates the spirit of unity in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration,” Datin Helen said.
It was a fun-filled day filled with games and activities. Parents and Children tried their hands at the station games which included face painting, balloon sculpture while others participated in the frog folding and frog leaping and mini basketball game.
All guests were invited to the dance competition and the best dancer walked away with a hamper.
Everyone were delighted and the children went home happy with prizes. It was a day of great fun and joy.
