In conjunction with Mental Health Month, which falls every October, the DISTED School of Psychology is today conducting a training event on campus to raise mental health awareness. At DISTED we are cognizant of the importance of ensuring the mental welfare of all members of the campus community. Accordingly, the School of Psychology has organised a Suicidal Rescue Simulation for participants of today’s seminar/training event to ensure counsellors from the wider community have the skills to manage such occurrences. The simulation instructors will be esteemed individuals from the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia). This simulation is solely for registered workshop participants.

We have in place a confidential support service, with a team of trained and dedicated counsellors. Should you require any support, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Student Affairs Staff who will arrange you to be connected with an appropriate counsellor. Let’s continue to build an actively caring campus community.
