DISTED College celebrated the achievement of its Cambridge A-Level achievers at a joyous graduation ceremony, which took place at DISTED YCE Campus Heritage Hall on 22 June.\u00a0 The ceremony witnessed almost 80 students celebrating the end of their A-Level pre-university studies.<\/p>\n

Dr Seah Soo Aun, the President and CEO was delighted to welcome the guests, graduands and staff to celebrate in the achievements of the graduands.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cThis A-Level Graduation Ceremony marks another important milestone for DISTED College, more so when it coincides with the celebration of our 32nd\u00a0<\/sup>anniversary celebration of the creation of DISTED College in 1987, in successfully delivering quality higher education programmes to all!\u201d He said during his opening remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cGraduation is always a major and joyous occasion in every individual\u2019s life.\u00a0\u00a0 It is a tremendous achievement that deserves celebration and recognition, and a milestone that you will always remember, long after you have left this hall. To complete your A-Level studies with clear success and distinctions entails dedicated endeavour,\u201d Dr Seah continued.<\/p>\n

Invited guest, Mr Ng Kim Huat, the Country Director (Malaysia & Brunei) of Cambridge Assessment International Education congratulated the graduands and extended his warm wishes to the graduands for every success in their future. He then congratulated DISTED College for being one of the top producing A-Level achievers in the country.<\/p>\n

DISTED alumni and the recipient of Top in Malaysia for Business subject in the recent Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards 2019, Mr Lee Jia Wen was invited to share his learning experience at DISTED. He thanked his mentors and lecturers for supporting him throughout his studies during his speech. Lee wished the graduands best of luck as they climb the ladder to success.<\/p>\n

Following the ceremony, light refreshment was prepared and served by the college\u2019s talented hospitality and culinary arts students for the graduates and their guests. An education exhibition was also set up at the cafeteria to highlight opportunities in higher education.<\/p>\n

Lim Hui En, Best in Subject Performance in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Best Across Top Achiever<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lecturers of DISTED College are helpful. They welcome questions and provide explicit explanations to our questions. They have helped me to understand the topics better and have prepared me for the exams,\u201d Lim said.<\/p>\n

Amanda Chin Zhi Qiao, Best in Subject Performance in English Language.<\/p>\n

\u201cDISTED College has dedicated academic staff that are really committed to teaching us. The lecturers are very experienced in teaching their subjects, and they really find the method to teach us that will allow us to understand. They help us by giving exercises and drilling us in certain topics to prepare us for exams. But they are also very approachable, where you can meet them outside of lectures to ask them questions and even message them for help. I am very glad I was taught by my lecturers for the three subjects I take, because they have really contributed to my whole A-Levels experience and preparation,\u201d Chin said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d attribute this achievement to someone whom I think should deserve all the credits. Extremely thankful for my Law teacher, Ms Bahmini, for her guidance and support, as well as the other lecturers who have helped me when I was in doubt,\u201d Wong said.<\/p>\n

\u201cLecturer in DISTED play an important role. They are patient towards us and always providing help to us whenever we have any questions and needed help the most, and always trying their best to make sure that each of us in the class understands the topics,\u201d Yeap said.<\/p>\n

\u201cDISTED College has some very outstanding and helpful lecturers and they are my key of success. Their\u00a0assists\u00a0play\u00a0a very significant roles in my success. Besides, the college provides me a very\u00a0comfortable\u00a0environment to study,\u201d Kok said.<\/p>\n
