DISTED’s BA (Hons) Events Management is an internationally recognised degree conferred by Staffordshire University (UK). Students of this programme will develop critical awareness of the roles of tourism and events in business and hone the ability to develop and market tourism and event projects and service. They will also acquire transferrable skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, report writing, presentation communication and strategic planning skills, interpersonal and leadership skills, cultural skills and quantitative abilities that are employability and enterprise focused for a variety of career settings.
Job demands in the events industry include conference, convention and corporate event organisation, visitor centre management, trade show and exhibition organisation, community and cultural celebration organisation, sporting, outdoor recreation and entertainment festival organisation, campaign management and public relations project management.

Duration of Study
Intakes are available in March, July and September for a duration of 6 semesters over 3 years totalling 120 to 121 Malaysian Qualifications Framework credits and fulfilling Staffordshire University’s curriculum structure of 360 credits.
The programme can be completed entirely at DISTED (3+0 option) or with one or two years of study in the United Kingdom at Staffordshire University.
Students are required to complete the compulsory General Studies prescribed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
All courses listed above are under the Staffordshire University curriculum structure and carries 15 credits except for those marked with * which are courses prescribed by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
