Mooncake Making at DISTED College

The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival that is well celebrated by ethnic Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese people. Held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar with full moon at night, the customary way of celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival include carrying of brightly lit lanterns, as well as making & sharing of mooncakes.

In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is happening tomorrow 15th September 2016, DISTED College staff & students gather today at DISTED’s Kitchenette (commonly known as the pantry at Level 1 in YCE campus) for mooncake making as they prepare for the celebration of the festival.
