I love DISTED!

The reputation of a college and word-of-mouth advertising count when school leavers select a higher educational institution.

Former SMK Convent Lebuh Light student Rashveen Kaur said: “Of the many choices, I decided on DISTED College for further education based on the recommendation of my seniors.”

Sharing a happy moment are ex-SMK Convent Lebuh Light students (from left) Resham Nainani, Rashveen Kaur, Evelyn Mok and Sarah Ho, who are all pursuing the Cambridge A-Level at DISTED.

“They told me that DISTED has good and responsible lecturers whose priority is to educate students well.

“I also heard that the college's students have good discipline, which is another plus factor,” said the new Cambridge A-Level student.

“The campus' aesthetic heritage buildings and green setting also impress me,” she said.

“Starting college life is an exciting new experience, marking an important phase in my quest for good education. For that, I love DISTED!” said the accountant wannabe.

Henry Ong, an ex-student of SMJK Chung Ling Pulau Pinang, said: “My cousin told me DISTED has good facilities with experienced lecturers who are professional in their teaching.”

“Furthermore, DISTED offers the fast-track 1-year A-Level Science programme which will give me the opportunity of entering university earlier for medical studies.

“My other school mates also have the same good feeling about the college and so, we decided to enrol at DISTED,” he said.

In his message to the SAM students, Lord Mayor of Adelaide Michael Harbison said: "The SAM qualification will enhance your knowledge and skills."

"As it is internationally recognized, the SAM will enable you to gain entry into reputable universities around the world including those in Australia," the mayor said.

The freshies took part in a 2-day orientation programme on 3 and 4 January, which was conducted by the student affairs department in collaboration with the Students Representative Council (SRC).

“The orientation activities are geared to familiarize them with their new learning environment the fun way.

“We’ve organized many induction games for the purpose and to foster esprit de corps,” said Dicky Lim, SRC senior vice-president.

“It’s an enriching and joyful experience for us to work as a team to welcome the new students into the DISTED fraternity,” the Staffordshire University business undergraduate added.
