Better acquainted with hotel job opportunities

DISTED College hospitality students learnt more about training opportunities at Hard Rock Hotel Penang. 

The hotel’s human resource director Thomas Ch’ng gave a talk to the students at the college on 25 June 2009. 

“The purpose of this talk is to explain our platform in recruiting hospitality students for working in the hotel,” Thomas said.

He presented a slide show depicting his hotel’s mission, vision, values and motto, facilities, employees and events. 

“The Hard Rock Hotel Penang features the largest swimming pool in Penang. Its size of 26,000 square feet is 3 times that in the Olympics,” said Thomas, who gave out car stickers to the students as souvenirs. 

“DISTED hospitality students are just great and co-operative,” he said. 

Hospitality student Simon Mok said: “I think Hard Rock Hotel is the futuristic hotel for the young generation. It differentiates itself from the other hotels.”
