DISTED Teddy Project

The School of Pre-University organised its annual community project, Teddy Project, on 24th September 2017 at Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Jalan Hijau Lima. The objectives of this project are to spread happiness and joy to the less fortunate children of Batu Lanchang Government low-cost flats.

Dr Jerry Koay, DISTED’s Director of Academic Affairs attended the function representing the President of Disted College.

Datin Helen Lim from School of Pre-University donated the refurbished soft toys while the gift packs were donated by DISTED College.

Mr & Mrs Kumar, the parents of Yuhashinee, donated chocolate wafers as prizes for the aeroplane flying event.

The event was also attended by Mr Michael Tan, the Chairman of Kawasan Rukun Tetangga Jalan Hijau Lima and its vice-chairman, En Jaafar. Both of them encouraged the children of the flats to participate in the event.

During the event, light refreshments were served by committee members of the KRT, helped by our students.

Games organised by School of Pre-U students were participated enthusiastically by the children and their accompanying family members.

It was a day of great fun and good interaction among everyone present.

The success of the event was summed up appropriately by parents of DISTED’s students:

Mr. Kumar, father of Yuhashinee was happy to be part of the event.

Mrs. Chan, mother of Zhi Yuan, said, “Thank you so much for organising this event which allow students to grow and develop their public interaction skills,”
