Dear Team DISTED,
I am happy to report that this past Convocation weekend went on very smoothly. The feedback from our guests and Board members has been mostly positive. On Friday evening, we welcomed our academic partners, education value partners, school partners, industry advisors, academia advisors, donors, vendors, friends and even the Founders of DISTED to the 30th Anniversary celebratory dinner. On Saturday, the celebration continued with the witnessing of the 26th Convocation of DISTED, a ceremony with full of joy, happiness and anticipation for 330 of our graduates and their families.
All these would only be possible with the support that I had received from all of you, in particular the organising committee and sub-committee members, who have given your time, ideas and effort into the smooth running of these events.
Whilst I am unable to name all of you in my appreciation message, I believe in your heart you would know that your contributions, in whatever way, have made DISTED proud; and had certainly be an enormous effort towards this making this “Celebration of Success” a success. With that I thank you.
Please allow me to single out a few of our colleagues who have given their utmost in the organising and smooth running of these events. To Khor Tze Ping and his committee members, including Paul and Diana as emcee of the evening, in organising the anniversary dinner, and to Marian and her committee members, including Jessica as emcee, in organising the convocation event. Please allow me to thank the Marcomm team for putting the marketing and communication strategies into place at both events, in particular Dawn, for taking charge of event management. I also thank Zaki and the students of our DCMP for putting together the 30th Anniversary video montage and celebratory messages. And to Teoh, of IT, for putting on a good show, despite the non-cooperation of Sylvester “Rocky” Stallone.
I congratulate all of you on your success!
