Dr Koay brings along with him more than 25 years of industry and academia working experience, ranging from industry appointments in Sony Mechatronics, Trans Capital, COB Technology, Sanmina-SCI, Jabil and finally at Robert Bosch as Manufacturing Operations Manager.  Over the past 6 years, Dr Koay was the Head of School, the American Degree program at an institution of higher learning in Penang.  Prior to that, he was a Management Consultant, and lecturer at Wawasan Open University.

Please join me in welcoming Dr Koay to DISTED.

May I take this opportunity to put on record our sincere appreciation to Dr. Gwee Sai Ling for her  support as Acting Director of Academic Affairs over the past three months.  Her work diligence and continuing support during this tenure has been most positive.  Dr Gwee will continue as Acting Director of Academic Affairs till end of April.  Thereafter, she will continue with the sole role as Head, School of Business & Administration.

Dr Jerry Koay will officially take over the role of the Director of Academic Affairs from May 1, 2017.   In the interim, a proper handover and familiarisation exercise will be conducted between Dr Gwee and Dr Koay, as well as with all Head of Schools/Departments.
